Dramatic makeup, bold hair, and overall sparkle. Who doesn't love the 1920s? When I think of the 1920s, what immediately comes to mind is F. Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece, The Great Gatsby, the essence of glamour. So, you could imagine my excitement when I heard one of my all time favorite books had another film version coming out. My excitement tripled when I heard it was directed by Baz Luhrmann, genius director of Moulin Rouge and Rome+Juliet. Oh, not to mention the most amazing cast of all time, Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan? Couldn't have picked a better pair if I tried. I can't wait for this film! and how amazing is '20s fashion? there was a bar in downtown grand rapids, mi, where I used to live called the viceroy. it was a 1920s speakeasy, and people would dress in their '20s garb and drink old fashions. it seemed like so much fun but I was always too scared to try it!
Love all the 20's inspired makeup-- it's a great mix of drama and glamour. The Great Gatsby film unfortunately got pushed back to May 2013 though :( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343092/
