You *have* to keep the dough chilled though, until it goes into the oven. They&#39;re dry and ordinary when they come out, but they&#39;re a fantastic complement to the frosting. <br /><br />For Pecan Pie, my mom&#39;s recipe is a winner every time - <br />Mix 2c pecans, 1/2c sugar, 1/4c butter and press into a pie pan, bake at 350 for 12 minutes. <br />During that time, microwave 1/3c cream with a package of caramels till melted, stirring frequently. Pour that into the pie crust. <br />Then add a smattering of more chopped pecans. <br />Melt a package of chocolate chips, 2/3c whipping cream, 1/4c sugar and 1/2t of vanilla over low heat in a saucepan. Pour onto the pie.<br />More pecans to top.
